Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the house. Oops, wrong holiday. Well tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. And I hope you all have an excellent Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. Having said that, I will be so happy when January 2nd rolls around.
It's not the actual holidays that I don't like. It is what it does to people. To me the holiday season is supposed to be a time of Peace Love Understanding and goodwill towards all. Instead it seems like it is a time when people try to do to much in to short a time. People seem to get ruder and meaner and less tolerant instead of more. I feel like if everyone would stop trying to cram all their "Peace love and family togetherness" into one day or four weeks and instead show it all year long, the holidays would be a much less stressfull more enjoyable season.
I do give thanks for many things. I give thanks that my family is well. I give thanks that there are people in my life that I love and who love me. I give thanks that I have a warm place to lay my head at night. But I give thanks for these things all year long. Not one day a year when I am told this how I am supposed to feel/act on this day.
Any how, happy holidays. May God bless us all in our daily lives.
